kingi x Louis Roederer

Celebrate the season with Louis Roederer Champagne

Louis Roederer, one of Champagne’s great family houses, turns 250 this year, so this December and January we’re throwing them a birthday celebration that lasts all summer.

Louis Roederer Champagne is pouring by the glass at kingi, alongside a menu of bites created to pair with it, and Tuawhiti Lane is dressed in fresh and dried flowers inspired by the Louis Roederer château.

By the glass and the tasting flight

Pull up a seat in the laneway, order a glass of Louis Roederer and let Executive Chef Andrew Lautenbach take care of the rest. His menu of bites is made to bring out the best in every pour, with fresh, vibrant flavours and a few little surprises along the way. Can’t choose a champagne? Our tasting flight brings together Louis Roederer Collection 247, Brut 2018 and Brut Rosé 2018, each with a matched bite.

Louis Roederer in the Libraries, a curated champagne dinner
Saturday 28 November | 6pm | $265pp

Two hundred and fifty years of Louis Roederer deserves a proper party, and we’re throwing it in The Libraries. With just 32 seats, it’s set to be one of the most sought-after dinners of the season. The corks start popping the moment you arrive, with a Louis Roederer champagne cocktail to welcome you. Dinner follows: a snack and three courses from Andrew Lautenbach, served with Louis Roederer Collection 247, Brut 2018 and Brut Rosé 2018. Ben Longhurst will share the stories behind every glass, and if the night calls for something truly unforgettable, Cristal is on hand.

The Louis Roederer High Tea
Two Sundays only: 13 December and 10 January

For two Sundays only, our high tea is getting a little extra sparkle. Every sweet and savoury bite has been created to match the champagne in your glass, from your first pour of Louis Roederer to a celebration cake marking the house’s 250th birthday.

Then step into The Wine Library, transformed for the occasion, where Ben Longhurst will pour two more Louis Roederer champagnes and share the stories behind them. One family, one house, 250 years of craft and a few secrets you won’t hear anywhere else.

With just two afternoons and limited seats, we expect it to go quickly. More details and bookings coming soon. And if you’re searching for a Christmas gift with a little sparkle, this is the one they’ll be talking about long after the wrapping paper has gone.
